    ZENTIMETER

    08 Sep 2021 – 21 Sep 2021

In the colors and images on the canvas it show that I struggle all those complexity emotion for many years, I was totally lost for a while, or it can be said that when I started creating and looking for a style direction in the early days, I thought I was a person who likes color very much. But, then I realized that it was not at all, or it may be related to my eld of work, generally working in the fashion circle. People are all dressed up and show o , especially wearing colorful clothes and walking under the bright ashlight. I do like it based on my job, but at the same time, I am getting more and more tired of this work mode. Poker faces it not quite match my personality, sometimes I lazy to dress up myself as well, I feel contradiction, Maybe it’s something occupy for me, look back in 2020, we all passed the worst year! is happens to force me to take a break in this industry. Stay calm and listen to my soul deeply to heal. In this period of time, I found my peace through the painting process. Still, in the beginning, I don’t appreciate the outcome of my artwork even the result was great. e main point is I don’t feel any connection from those painting, no matter how many colors to pour on the surface of the canvas. at is not exactly what I was seeking, a er I keep looping for paint and destroy, give up and restart, angry and joyful... It should be a ected by the fashion world, to show this kind of illusion of the colorful things in my early artwork, I sit down and cry, suddenly my mind had a momentary ash by “Let it go” this three words, I guess, what I need it should be keep that as simple as possible, I start to re-enter to Vipassana meditation that I learned when I was teenage. It helps, I heal by myself little by little, try to nd who I really am, what the truth is inside me. That why I take out all the beautiful colors and only use Black and White and let them self- develop on the canvas oozing the gray color. In my art if you look at that with the other angle, you may find the beauty of the influence in my experience of fashion! I took the advantage during the con nement, I created a collection called " Zentmeter ", By using " Centimeter", I changed the "C" to "Z" that give the element of Zen to my vision. Regarding distance, Destiny keeps us together, it seems like far away, but it's only a tiny mile away! Just like Zen is around us, when the moment you need it, the wisdom always willing to guide. I wish that can through my art to let people nd their own peaceful pace and appease when there are wandering and helpless.

    A Tender Time

    04 Sep 2021 – 04 Oct 2021

Concepts and stories have been quite important in the world of contemporary art. It is a world that seeks the answer because the mind perceives the work. However Taiyo has taken a hiatus from art which exists only in a linear timeline: because that happened, I made this. So that over the past few years he has freed himself from concepts and stories, and has instead been creating focusing on texture and sensation. Rather than reasons, effort or evocation, he hopes people feel tenderness, serenity, and comfort at least for a moment while touching his work.

    MEMORIES TO COLOURS BRAZIL

    04 Sep 2021 – 11 Sep 2021

My art is to convey my essence. Through colours and my affective memories I connect with my inner self and with the sensations that helped form my life. Brazilian culture, the joy and diversity of its people are the essential fuels that shape my work, and in each creative process this connection is composed in different ways, taking me to new places. And it is through this stimulus that I translate into my work everything I feel, the places from the past I miss as well as the sensations and energy that motivate me to move forward. Technically, I create new colours and tones in all my works, in order to precisely translate the authenticity of where I was born. By mixing the originally intended palette, I come to accept the infinity of colours, and in the end the results not only surprise my audience but also surprise me.

    Aching Bodies

    05 Jul 2021 – 05 Aug 2021

»I often visualize topics by examining them through the image and celebration of the human body. We see bodies in their relationship to space, each other, and the world they inhabit. At times fragmented, at times united, the human form twists melts, breaks, or contorts. My work aims to capture quiet moments of intimacy through striking imagery.« Andrea Ihl is an illustrator and digital artist based in Aachen, Germany. In her work she explores the joys and frustrations of everyday lives while focusing on themes of vulnerability, gender, psychology and various social issues. Through the use of bold compositions and contrasting colours, the illustrations stand out and aim to make you reflect on the subject matter.Andrea is currently studying Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences, Aachen. Though she is self-taught, her studies gave many opportunities for experimental exploration of her art style in various design fields. Now, she is particularly experienced in editorial work and is constantly supporting as well as initiating cultural and social projects.

    14 Jun 2021 – 20 Jun 2021

With the advance of Instagram and other algorithmic tools, we are living in a time of renewed interest in figurative painting, where this ancient media seems curiously alive in this space, Georgia utilises the painted figure to bring about questions of identity and technology today. Georgia’s practice challenges traditional understandings of her chosen medium as she combines digital and analogue modes in image creation, where passages of flatness are an indication of her painting’s digital origins. Physically rendered in oil paint on huge canvas supports, Georgia’s figures are composed of curling, distorted forms which contort within the confines of the canvas boundary, where their exaggerated curves are inspired by the generous, rounded shapes from Picasso’s Neo-classical Period. Georgia is a contemporary artist based in Derbyshire and London, she completed her BSc in Anthropology at UCL and her Graduate Diploma in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts.

    Cabin Fever

    14 Jun 2021 – 21 Jun 2021

Cabin Fever is an exploration of meandering thoughts. Each photo reveals a constructed character and the world they live in, isolated and content. In 96 square feet I’ve reimagined the space into something otherworldly, exploring topics in my day to day life and digesting them through the series. The result, a patchwork of reality and daydream. Living in a rural island community has given me a plethora of examples of oddballs, oddities and time spent alone to stew in my thoughts. Cabin Fever is the combined work of five years experimenting in my studio located in the forest.

I consider my work to be a clear representation of my own values. Most of my art focuses on celebrating freedom and diversity in all its forms. One of my main goals is to give visibility to subjects that I consider extremely important, such as feminism and sexual and gender freedom. I want to transmit boldness and positivity, which is the reason why I normally choose bright, solid colours to emphasise my intention. Despite the clear oppression of the people I portrait, my goal is to celebrate them and give them the sense of empowerment they deserve.
