    ALLISON STEWART: Floating Worlds

    08 Apr 2022 – 15 May 2022

Our 9th Virtual Exhibition features multi-media paintings by New Orleans artist Allison Stewart, whose work expresses the complex dialogue between man and nature. Trained as a biologist, Stewart is inspired by increasingly fragile environments and the ultimate interconnectedness of all living things. She uses layers of color, light, form and texture to address issues of beauty and loss, time and transformation. Residing somewhere between realism and abstraction, the paintings become visual diaries upon which Stewart records her responses to the threatened landscape. Allison Stewart has exhibited extensively through the United States, and her work is part of many private and corporate collections, including the New Orleans Museum of Art and the U.S. Department of State Art in Embassies Program.

    Jeffrey Maron: DREAMCATCHERS

    12 Jun 2021 – 18 Jul 2021

Our 7th Virtual Exhibition features 3D dimensional Sculptures, Wall Sculptures and Works on Paper by internationally acclaimed New York artist Jeffrey Maron. Maron's art is closely connected to our spiritual identity. His work shows a strong influence by cultures dedicated to animism, the worship of an inclusive natural order, and is not directly derived from any of the main currents of contemporary art. Though sometimes reminiscent of familiar symbols, it is profoundly unique. Maron is a multi-disciplinary artist with an extensive global exhibition history. He is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, and Fullbright-Hayes to Japan, along with an award from the Jackson Pollack/Lee Krasner Foundation.

LISTENING TO COLOR : Method or Madness?

    18 Feb 2021 – 28 Mar 2021

JOOST DE JONGE & YORAM CHISIN Our fifth Virtual Exhibit features two abstract artists who approach their paintings as vehicles of expressing intense emotions and inner turmoil through use of vivid colors in unexpected combinations and shapes. Both artists are strongly connected to the history of their respective home lands. Israeli artist Yoram Chisin has been deeply affected by his family’s history during the Holocaust, his experience as a soldier during the war in Lebanon, and the emotional toll suffered from personal tragedy. Dutch Artist Joost de Jonge, in his continuous quest to understand human and artistic creation and purpose, derives inspiration from classical music, philosophy, as well Dutch masters such as Van Gogh, thereby achieving a very unique post-modern sensibility.

    From Israel... With Love.

    15 Sep 2020 – 18 Oct 2020

Our Second Virtual Exhibit features three well-known Israeli artists’ creative response to the Covid-19 epidemic. Daniella Sheinman’s powerful abstract charcoal drawings entitled “Brain’s nets fighting the COVID-19” are juxtaposed with portraits of her beloved granddaughter Noga. Yoram Chisin has incorporated flowers into his intensely colorful abstract works, representing hope for a future after Covid. Suly Bornstein-Wolff’s paintings and 3-dimensional wall pieces and glass sculptures are reminders of a more peaceful and serene world, which seems so elusive now.

    SHERYL LUXENBURG: Full Exposure

    08 Apr 2021 – 16 May 2021

Our 6th Virtual Exhibition features 17 Preparatory Drawings by renown Canadian hyperrealist painter Sheryl Luxenburg. A prior career in psychotherapy, specializing in trauma, as well as her own emotional journey, have deeply influenced her work. Her female subjects in 11 of the drawings all portray some type of emotional distress, such as confusion, dread, conflict, anger or numbness. The remaining 6 works are Architectural Drawings, depicting historic architecture in Manhattan, Montreal, Paris and Havana. Luxenburg's work is technically impeccable and her style is uniquely her own, her flattened depiction of space almost impossible to distinguish from reality. The watercolor and ink drawings in this exhibitions served as preparatory drawings to her sought after and internationally collected acrylic on linen paintings.
