SEOUL, South Korea MASSA is thrilled to introduce to international audience MY UNIVERSE by MAH CHEN curated by Bruno Massa. MAH CHEN is a Korean artist born in 1981 who lives and in Paris, France. Mah Chen work draws inspiration from the universe and nature. His colors and textures feel like an unknown world that is subtilty combined. The artist always tries to visualize the inspirations he receives. His visualization process evolves a lot of thought and anguish. Until the result of the work is reached, countless layers of painting are repeated and pled up as if practicing meditation. He continues his expression until he reaches the unknown universe world he wants. When the base of colors and textures is completed, the artist draws various symbols, geometric icons or images of animals. As if swimming freely in a dreamy world, he expresses a free world without specific rules or standards. The freedom he dreams of may be an irregular order that harmonizes with an unknown world like the universe. The artist is currently expanding his artistic directory by going back and forth to Asia, Europe and the United States.
