Serendipity
08 Mar 2021 – 12 Apr 2021
The Year Three Fine Art Curation Team presents 'Serendipity', a show dedicated to the happy accidents and unexpected creations artists have made over a year of Social Distance and Lockdowns.
Putting a positive spin on the situation, 'Serendipity' aims to remind people of the good things that have come from having a seemingly endless amount of time.
From learning a new skill, to utilising one they already had, the artists within this show have all managed to produce outcomes that they would like to share.
Our show has been curated to three headings; ‘Hands’, ‘Face’, and ‘Space’, derivative of UK Government’s preventative slogan, used however, with a different intention. We wish to encourage viewers to reflect upon the past year and to make connections to how this time has impacted communication and the self.
Hands seeks to remind people of their physicality, during this period of limited contact.
Face aims to bring intimacy and self-reflection into the forefront of the viewer’s consciousness.
And Space pursues the idea of remaining grounded, finding solace within nature and the spaces that surround us.
So, come in and enjoy the serendipitous outcomes of lockdown.
