My romantic expressionism is a reflection of my inner work - honoring awareness, resilience, and the shifting currents. I work as a mixed media painter in Safety Harbor, Florida. My work takes the form of sailboats shifting through waves of abstract waters honoring movement.

on abstract waters and inspiration comes from a connection to the organic flow in nature and inner reflection.

I graduated with a BFA from FSU and an MA from UCD. Originally an oil painter, I shifted gears to acrylic later in life where I infused my multifaceted skill set to paint oceanic views with sailboats. My art challenges how people see the intricacies of movement and connect to the deeper meaning of one’s personal odyssey.

My five-step process uses black tissue paper as a textured surface that is randomly adhered to the surface of the canvas and under the paint. When rubbed with pastels it gives the look of weathered skin on the sails of the boats. Each creation is a product of my yoga and meditation and is a reflection of my practice of allowing and trusting the process.
