Leonard Edmondson - A Collection of Works From The Fifties

Findlay Galleries is proud to present "A Collection of Works From The Fifties" by postwar abstractionist Leonard Edmondson. The exhibition focuses on Edmondson's abstract surreal works from the 1950s. His works are allover compositions in which biomorphic shapes float through an atmosphere of soft color. His paintings and prints share a delicate line, a concern with the tonal gradations of textured backgrounds, and a refined elegance.

Tadashi Asoma - 2020 Retrospective

Findlay Galleries is proud to present a retrospective exhibition from Japanese-American artist Tadashi Asoma. Asoma depicts rare moments in nature and figures in repose illuminated with sudden bursts of pure, brilliant color using a delicate touch and tone. His adaptive style never strays from his unique identity. His early work is bold, vibrant, and hard-edged, and his later works, fluid and serene, reflecting the powerful moments in nature.

Gilles Gorriti & Paul Aïzpiri - Modern Disciples

Findlay Galleries is proud to feature Paul Aïzpiri and Gilles Gorriti, father and son, in a joint exhibition at Findlay’s iconic Worth Avenue gallery in Palm Beach. Both Aïzpiri and Gorriti are renowned globally, with careers spanning over 120 years combined. Their works have the use of vivid color and moving patterns and are rich in emotion, yet each artist’s flavor and style is distinctive and authentic. Gorriti reveals beauty in our ordinary surroundings or in a moment by the Mediterranean sea and encourages the viewer to question and explore his modern technique. Aïzpiri paints his joy and satisfaction in life by depicting figures, marinas, and the vibrant architecture of his beloved environs in bold color with unique brushwork.

Noah Landfield

Inspired by his visits to Japan and his reaction to the compact urban environment of Tokyo and other cities, Landfield's work reflects the often volatile nature of metropolitan life. This reflection of volatility, seen particularly in the abstract foundational cloudbursts which fill his canvases, also derives from his longtime fascination with volcanic activity.

Isabelle de Ganay - Le maître impressionniste

Findlay Galleries proudly presents an exhibition of outstanding works from Isabelle de Ganay. She is undoubtedly one of the truest disciples of en plein air. She was born in Rouen in 1960 and studied at some of the most renowned schools in France such as L’École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. When Isabelle creates one of her masterpieces, she fully immerses her senses within the moment and time of the painting. She embraces the fluctuations in the surrounding atmosphere and transfers the feeling of that present moment, in it’s truest form, to a brushstroke on the canvas before her. A canvas from Isabelle is vibrating with warm, thrilling colors and brushstrokes that feel like they are constantly in motion. With all artistic elements considered, a viewer is left with a rich and enchanting painting, an underlying lucidity, displaying the most intriguing environs.

Thomas Rouxeville

Throughout his works, Thomas tries to symbolize our society: the fauna, flora, minerals and human activity, mixing representations of a precarious balance. His aim is to mirror the instability of our current world, where men have disrupted the delicate harmony of Nature. For a moment everything stands still, and he reminds us that everything in this world is interconnected. If one thing falters - the rest will collapse in its wake. When viewing a Rouxeville painting we are asked to assemble precise narratives using highly realistic elements in conjunction with flowing and overlapping abstractions. Rouxeville also dabbles formalism, including elements that seem to jump from the graphic design world into his carefully crafted paintings.
